After a year researching Islamic banking, I remained keenly interested in the topic but wanted exposure to other industries. To get that exposure I joined BCG. I have now worked in industries as diverse as financial services, air freight, and telecommunications. My ongoing interest in Islamic finance is still prominent, however, and I was recently assigned to a lengthy project for an Islamic financial services provider. 

At BCG I have learned that you can find the opportunities you want—as long as you make an effort to go after them.

Ira has a BA in international relations, with distinction, from Stanford University.

As a Fulbright scholar in Singapore, he completed coursework in Islamic studies and researched Islamic banking.

Janice joined BCG in 2008.

She holds a BS in economics and a BBA in finance from Singapore Management University. 

She has experience in financial services, having spent a summer at HSBC Investment Banking.

In addition, she also spent time at a consulting firm in Shanghai, China.
