During my studies the consulting world always fascinated me. As a result I tried my hand at solving complex business issues through a summer internship at BCG in Germany. The company proved to be the best platform.

After I completed my master’s degree, I decided to relocate to Singapore. While I was there I had the opportunity to do consulting work for a few years in the dynamic telecommunications industry across the Asia-Pacific region.

In early 2008 I was excited to have the opportunity to re-join BCG because the firm was actively building its Technology, Media and Telecom Practice in Southeast Asia. Since then, I have been working at helping local and regional telecom clients win in two rapidly growing economies. 

Intellectual challenge and continuous learning are my daily bread. Every day I face a range of complex issues as I help our clients develop a presence in very low-income markets. As a result, BCG definitely helps me understand the true meaning of creativity and innovation.

Olivier holds an MS in international management from the University of St. Gallen and an MBA from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

He was a summer intern in BCG's Düsseldorf office, before relocating to Asia. He re-joined BCG in Singapore in 2008.

I chose BCG for an internship because the BCG consultants I met during the recruiting process seemed intellectually challenged, enthusiastic about their work, and visibly loved their jobs!

As an intern, I had the opportunity to drive my work, directly engage the clients, and walk away with a clear understanding of what it is like to be a BCG consultant.

There were also many other components to the internship, such as training, lunches, Cubs games, and more, that enabled me to really get to know the Chicago office and my fellow interns.

Overall, I was challenged by the work, encouraged and mentored, and given the opportunity to build lasting friendships. Since returning to BCG full time, I have continued to build on these experiences and have been able match my own interests with my personal development goals.

Kim joined the Chicago office of BCG in 2006 after a summer internship in 2005.

She has worked with clients in the areas of consumer goods, industrial goods, retail, and financial services. Before BCG, she worked at Moody’s Investors Service, specializing in high-yield corporate finance.

Kim holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and she earned her bachelor’s degree in finance from Loyola Marymount University.
