I remember how surprised my friends were when they found out that I was about to join BCG. I have a degree in computer engineering from a leading engineering school in Indonesia. Everybody knows how much I like working with computers, and most thought I would choose computer programming as my lifetime career. No one ever thought I would take the huge leap into management consulting.
I certainly don't regret joining BCG. The work is challenging, yet interesting. The environment and the people are very warm and friendly. My programming skills have turned out to be very useful, as I have been able to develop computer programs that help my team to conduct detailed analysis more efficiently. In return, I have learned so much from my colleagues about businesses and industries. I feel proud that I have been able to contribute significantly from Day 1 at BCG. And I am proud of being part of such a great organisation. I am sharpening my technical skills at the same time as developing new skills and becoming better rounded. I surely appreciate this experience! |
